£40,000 Boost for SMEs with Ideas on Climate Change
The Shell Springboard Programme has opened, urging small
businesses with ideas on tackling climate change to compete for
awards of up to £40,000 each.
The ideas must:
- lead to greenhouse gas reductions
- be commercially viable
- be innovative
Up to 6 awards between £20,000 - £40,000 are on offer in each of
3 UK regions:
- North UK - Scotland, Northern Ireland & Northern
England
- Central UK - Central England & Wales
- South UK - Southern England & East Anglia
Last year awards of £40,000 were made to 5 businesses from across
the UK.
ELIGIBILITY
Entrants must:
- be a business set up as a sole-trader, partnership,
limited company or community interest company
- have been established for a minimum of 3 months
- have less than 250 employees
- operate in the UK
- have an idea and business plan which is their own/or which
they are free to disclose
The deadline for 2008 entries is 8th November 08.
